What are Bearing Housings?
Bearing housings are modular assemblies designed to support your bearings, protecting them from contaminants and reducing damage, whilst maintaining the lubricant within.

The standard SWB bearing housings are made of grey cast iron, however we also offer stainless-steel housings. And if higher strength is required, our housings are also supplied in spheroidal graphite cast iron (SGI) and cast steel.
When relubrication is carried out, it must be ensured that excess grease can escape.
Locating or Non-Locating Bearing Housings
The bearing seats in the housing are generally machined such that the bearings are movable and can thus act as non-locating bearings. Locating bearing arrangements can be achieved by inserting locating rings. Locating rings must be ordered specifically. Bearing Housings without locating rings are supplied in either a non-locating bearing version or a locating bearing version.
Sealing
Depending on the operating conditions, contact seals, non-contact seals and combinations thereof are available for sealing of bearing housings.
